How to Sell at McCartneys Auctions

Entries are invited for all sales listed in our auction calendar. If you are considering selling your property please contact us by telephone, fax, post or e-mail to arrange an appointment with one of our valuers. Appointments can be arranged either at one of our offices or at your own home for a no obligation free pre sale estimate.

We are able to view goods throughout the UK, or alternatively you may post or e-mail us a photograph from which it is usually possible to give an approximate value. We also run valuation days at each of our offices where a valuer will be on hand to give pre sale estimates of any items brought along.

Deliveries

Deliveries of all items for sale (or removal of purchases) should be arranged with McCartneys. We offer ideal loading and unloading facilities with direct access to the saleroom, and with more than 300 spaces for vehicles there are never any problems parking. Carriage can be arranged through our contractor at competitive rates

Commission Rates and Charges

McCartneys' standard commission rates for selling are as follows:

Commission	15%
Insurance	1%
VAT (on charges only)	17.5%
Total	18.8%

Please note there is a minimum charge of £2 per lot

For high value consignments reduced commission rates are available at competitive levels. Please contact the saleroom in person or by telephone for details.

Our commission charges are inclusive of any photography and advertising. Unlike many other auctioneers we do not pass these additional charges on to the client, though the decision of how to publicise entered lots is at the auctioneer's discretion.

Unsold Charges

There are no unsold charges when a reserve price has been agreed in advance with the auctioneer.
